Pete Gordon's exuberant performances never fail to engage his audiences in imaginative journeys through a variety of music and stories. Known best as a singer and guitar virtuoso, Pete will sail through a diverse assortment of blues, jazz, folk, country, classical, and, generally speaking, "….popular music from the 16th century on." His material ranges from whimsical comedy to romantic and sensitive ballads. Pete's spontaneity often allows him to improvise new songs on the spot, as well as to create fresh interpretations of standards. Pete moved from Boston Massachusetts to Berkley Springs, West Virginia in 1981 to join Critton Hollow String Band. He traveled with them across the USA and Canada through 1987, performing at most major music festivals. The band produced recordings, appeared on Public Radio and Television, and conducted programs in schools through Young Audiences, Inc.
