A. – Yes. Tygart Lodge is open in winter months, however, the cabins are not. Cabins are open from mid-April through December.

A. No. Due to staffing difficulties and the potentially hazardous physical conditions of certain aging infrastructure, the swimming area was closed several years ago. Swimming is prohibited from the shoreline of the park. However, guests staying overnight at Tygart Lake lodge or vacation cabins, may swim at no charge at Grafton City Swimming Pool during their normal summer hours of operation (does not include special evening events). It is an Olympic size pool with a water slide and a zero entry wading pool with waterfalls. Guests checking in at Tygart Lake State Park are given information on how to access this summer fun.
A. Yes. Lodge rooms at Tygart Lake lodge have air conditioning units in each rental room. The cabins have ceiling fans. The ADA compliant cottage is equipped with an air conditioning unit.
A: No
A: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are days with less boat traffic on the lake. Saturday and Sunday typically have heavy motorboat traffic making the lake quite choppy.
A: No. Tygart Lake State Park offers two boat ramps free of charge. Launch fees do occur on facilities at managed by the Army Corps of Engineers, but at Tygart the launch sites are on the state park area.
A: Yes. Fishing licenses are sold at the park office. The office is open from 8am until 4pm except during the Summer when office hours are extended to 8am until 8pm. Online purchase of a fishing or hunting license is also an option.
